Application to RFQ

aerial work platform lift

Building and handling conditions change an aerial work platform lift specification. This page turns those conditions into purchase fields. It is not a gallery of finished installs we performed.

Four site types that change the quote

Narrow aisle storage

Aisle width, mast or scissor envelope, and free lift decide whether a mobile aerial work platform can travel loaded. Write the tightest aisle, not the average.

Dock pits

Pit depth, dock height and lip length belong on the same sheet as platform travel. A hydraulic aerial work platform used beside a leveler still needs those dock numbers.

Maintenance hangars

Duty cycle and working pressure or battery voltage matter more than a single raised height. Indoor slab capacity is a buyer measurement, not a factory promise.

Outdoor yards

Grade, wind exposure and charger location stay in the RFQ. Outdoor travel is a site constraint, not a reason to skip indoor power data if the unit will also work inside.

Technical requirements that must stay aligned

Nameplate capacity is not application load. Electric versus another listed power is a site choice, not a universal ranking. Equipment price is not installed cost.

Field What the buyer writes What each factory must echo Common mismatch
Rated capacity lb or kg at a stated load center Same basis, same attachment assumption Bare nameplate without load center
Lift height in or mm plus lowered height Travel that clears the task, not a catalog max only Ignoring lowered height in a low door
Power V, phase, Hz or shop air pressure The supply you actually have Three-phase quoted into a single-phase room
Site geometry Aisle width, pit depth, dock height Machine envelope that fits those numbers A different model series used as proof of fit
Scope Machine only, or named extras Freight, pit, anchors, commissioning split One blended number

Read the units note before you copy a public specification page into the brief. A public dock-leveler page that lists lb capacity with ft of platform and in of lip is a unit dictionary, not a promise that this desk already bought that machine.

Warehouse procurement managers usually fail the first pass when aisle width, pallet size and floor loading are left for a later call. Facility engineers usually fail it when three-phase supply is assumed and the room only has battery charging. Importers fail it when destination and quantity arrive after the factory already priced a different duty cycle. Write those items once so aerial work platform lift replies can be read on one sheet.

If the building will share a charging room, add battery voltage and charger location. If the platform will sit beside a pit, add pit depth even when you think you are only buying a mobile unit. If the task is outdoor yard work plus indoor rack access, say so; a single catalog photograph cannot carry both envelopes. Aerial Work Platform Sourcing will not invent a missing measurement to close the row.
